I'm a Sasha Pivovarova fan so I thought I would share some collages I made of this beautiful girl. In 2005, the Russian beauty was scooped up by an agency and immediately Prada signed her on to an exclusive add campaign for 3 whole years, almost a life time in the editorial world. Not only is she now a "supermodel" but also a published artist who has had shows around the globe.
Here's the face that has graced the front pages of Vogue dozens of times....
Hugs to you Sasha.
In Philly again and guess what, it's snowing! Blahhhhhhhhhhh.
I'm not usually a sucker for sequins but after seeing Ashish, the london based clothing line, all might of changed! These bold printed, fully sequined dresses, pants, jackets and shirts are totally out of control, amazing. I want to own these and covet them forever like a fine painting.. maybe one day!
GUN reclamation project: Living in NYC, it often seems we never go more than a week without hearing of a tragedy caused by guns and violence.
Rather than spend our energy on fear or contempt, we've decided to take thisinstrument that represents violence and reframe it as symbols of non-violence. We want to commit ourselves and those who purchase these pieces to keeping guns off our streets, so for each work sold from this collection a contribution will be made to the NYC “Gun Buy-Back Program”.
Through this program, the D.A.'s office and the NYPD partner with local churches to offer $200 bank cards for any firearm turned in at one of their one day events. Since 2008, 5700 guns have been taken off New York's streets.
This event will be your first chance to purchase the collection. We will be selling items at a discount (necklaces start at $50) with %20 of the launch sales go towards the fundraising effort.
