A Little Wicked

The minute you start to feel that the city couldn't pack any more vintage stores into its pores, bam, you are surprised with another. I have to say, usually I am a bit turned off by the vintage in NYC, but that is only because people feel the need to pack it all in and try to pass second hand junk off as vintage valuables and then, charge an arm and leg. Now, finally a store, A Little Wicked, that is curated to its finest, with vintage Oscar De La Renta, Liz Claiborne and many other big names, to obscure little no names! Instantly you can tell that this store, or more like intimate little boudoir is run by fashion smart, savvy, style experts. I luckily had the opportunity of getting the chance to meet one of the owners, Robyn Moreno. Of course I was only planning on stopping by on my way out for dinner but an hour and a half later, 2 glasses of wine, and a worldwind of expert advice on fashion, life, and love, I was off on my way with a new favorite spot and basically a new best friend! I definitely suggest getting there before you are bombarded with holiday party time. They have an abundance of adorable, sparkling frocks that will get you noticed and you definitely don't have to worry about seeing your twin, one of the finer points of vintage! Robyn and her sister/co-owner, Bianca have already altered and embellished their duds to their ultimate wickedness!!!
So, next time you are searching for that special new piece, or only have $20 in your wallet (they have an amazing $20 rack), or want to have a glass of wine with two uber cool chics, then head on over to A Little Wicked in the Lower East Side.
Keep your eyes peeled for their sassy saying on the hang tags, "get lucky in this lacy dress"!

Clothes for everday of the week.

Totally loving my new hair color. Change is such an invigorating feeling. Sometimes I notice myself glancing in the mirror and am just starring, I guess it will take a while until the newness wears off. As for now, I'm gonna just live the change!

Big fish in a little pond.

Back home from some fun Philly times. Was out there for the whole week styling for Urban Outfitters. I've never been to Philly before and unfortunately because I was so busy I didn't get to see to much of the city, but from what I caught, it's a pretty cute little place. I'm hoping to go back and do more of the touristy stuff and explore all the neighborhoods.
I have to send a shout out to Shibon, or as I call her Boner and thank her for being a lovely host. You truly made it a memorable trip.
Here are a few blog worthy shots!

What do you see?!?!

Have you ever been given a Rorschach test? I haven't but definitely think it's time.

Oh wait, I know what I see, a DIY dress!!!! There was an overflow of inkblot prints on the runway for Spring 2010. This is totally manageable for an afternoon project. I am thinking, make a stencil, trace it and instead of printing it, cut it out. Once finished, wear over a plain tank and you got yourself a Rorschach-like printed top or dress.

top three: Brian Reyes, second row from left to right: Narciso Rodrigues, Charlotte Ronson, Jason Wu

The Brian Reyes are definitely my favorite. Will keep you posted on the project!

Lovin for your sticks!

I'm such a skirt/dress girl in the winter.. love me some wool tights, especially those really cute cable knit ones that take you all the way back to kindergarten. Last year I got a great pair at Anthropology in navy with white polka dots. It's definitely time to get my arss out there and find some new leg lovers. So far on my list are Navajo prints, grey ombre, color blocked, and floral!
